Overview

It can be difficult for tourists and locals alike to discover what's going on in their city. Especially when our options for entertainment are virtually endless. Today, picking up just one option of how you can spend your free Saturday evening becomes increasingly challenging. This is when a well-tailored event aggregator can become a perfect and indispensable tool, that will allow the users to easily search and save events, as well as purchase tickets online.

User Research

According to Don Norman, the human centred design process starts with a good understanding of people and the needs that the design is intended to meet. So, naturally, user research and interviews were part of the design process.

Based on preliminary research (competitor analysis, user interviews) I was able to identify various scenarios of using the app. By understanding these scenarios, we can design a solution that meets the needs and expectations of our users.

Based on the acquired data I developed several user profiles and examined their motivations. This enabled me to somewhat forecast their app usage and prioritize functionalities according to their intentions and requirements.
